Refund Policy
World Neurosurgery is committed to providing a fair and transparent publication process. We understand that, in certain circumstances, authors may need to withdraw their manuscript after payment has been made.
Refund Requests
Authors may request a refund by contacting our editorial office and providing their manuscript ID along with the reason for the request.
Each refund request is reviewed individually by our editorial and administrative team. We carefully assess the status of the manuscript and the work that has already been completed.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be granted if the requested publication services have not been substantially completed. In general, refund requests are more likely to be approved when the manuscript has not yet reached the final stages of editing, production, publication, or other completed editorial services.
If the manuscript has already been published or the publication process has been substantially completed, a refund may not be available.
Withdrawal After Acceptance
If an author wishes to withdraw a manuscript after acceptance, the journal will thoroughly review the request. Where the publication work has not been substantially completed and the withdrawal request is found to be reasonable, the applicable publication charges may be refunded, either in full or in part, depending on the stage of processing.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method whenever possible. The time required for the funds to reach the author's account depends on the payment provider and the receiving bank.
